Our neighbour from Glen Haven, Ross Pityk and his band Boathouse Blues are playing Tuesday July 9th evening in Alcona . They are a great band and a lot of fun. See you there!

Music in the Park

Music in the Park is back! Enjoy free, outdoor, live music performances at parks across town all summer long. Join us this month (weather permitting) from 6 to 8 p.m. on:

• July 9 at Innisfil Town Square for The Boathouse Blues Project
• July 16 at Innisfil Beach Park for The Fitzees
• July 23 at Cookstown Community Park for Kyle Wauchope
• July 30 at Innisfil Town Square for 93 North

New this year are food vendors and lawn games during each event!

Fresh Air Flicks

Fresh Air Flicks returns for another season! Enjoy a series of movies held outdoors throughout the summer. Music and activities begin at 7 p.m., with the movie at dusk. Admission is free. Non-perishable food donations for the Troy Scott Community Fridges are encouraged. Coming up this month:

• Friday, July 12 at Innisfil Beach Park – 10 Things I Hate About You, sponsored by the Innisfil Youth Connex Committee (YCC)
• Friday, July 26 at the Cookstown Library Field – Wish, sponsored by Cookstown Foodland

The Mobile Youth Centre is back

The Innisfil Mobile Youth Centre tours throughout the community bringing skateboards and scooter equipment, life-sized board games, and drop-in activities to kids of all ages from Monday to Friday. Visit the Mobile Youth Centre page for locations and times.

Mobile Seniors Active Living Centre

The Mobile Seniors Active Living Centre (M-SALC) continues throughout July and August. M-SALC offers free fitness, social, and health-focused drop-in programs for residents 55+ on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. 

M-SALC is welcoming Hear Canada as a special guest this month. Hear Canada will be giving presentations, offering onsite hearing screenings, and providing free, no-obligation trials of hearing aids for those who need them. They will be in attendance from 9:45 to 11 a.m. on:

• Tuesday, July 9 at the Cookstown Library & Community Centre
• Wednesday, July 10 at the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena & Community Centre
• Thursday, July 11 at The Wheel in Sandycove Acres
