Dead Trees a Potential Hazard

Community Project to Protect the Road

At our recent Annual Meeting we discussed the many dead trees on people’s properties along the road that pose a significant risk to both the roadways and the hydro wires. These trees will become more hazardous within the next year or two.

The bulk of these trees are located on private properties, while others are on CHA property. The Association will cover the costs of removing trees on CHA Property and in the circle at the north end of road. As a community, we would like to facilitate property owners addressing any dead trees on private property before they become a danger for the entire community by taking out hydro or blocking the road.

To that end, we’ve recently obtained estimates for tree removal services, from Brad’s Tree Removal with the intention of assisting property owners, and leveraging cost savings if we coordinate and address this issue as a community. Based on the total business booked, Brad’s Tree Service will offer a 10% to 30% discount.

The estimates, divided by property number, will be sent out by email. Please review to see if you have hazardous trees along the road on your property. We have done our best to identify the trees and property lines. If something in your email seems like it actually belongs to the neighbour, you could chat with them about how you would like to proceed. If you would like to have other trees on your property removed as part of this effort, let us know and Brad’s Tree Service will add additional estimates.

The deadline to respond to participate in this effort is August 28th. Reach out with any questions.

We hope this community effort is helpful.
